Constellate was created for the 35th Convocation Ceremony at the National Institute of Design as a tribute to the graduating students. It served to celebrate the bonds that the students fostered in their years at the institute, which would last a lifetime.
The installation uses gesture recognition and motion detection with the Microsoft Kinect. The Kinect library was implemented on Processing.Projection Mapping was implemented with a short throw projector to map the interaction area.The lasers and motors were programmed using Arduino.
